Amazing UI testing!

I used TestDriver's AI UI testing agent for my side project and it was incredible! The automated test writing saved me so much time. It caught a regression I totally missed. I'm definitely subscribing to a paid plan. Will recommend this to all my developer friends!

Good for quick checks

Signed up for the free tier to try the automated regression testing. It integrated easily with GitHub. Found a small visual bug right away. Simple to use.

Worked pretty well

I was looking for something to help with web app testing and gave TestDriver a shot. It connected to my GitHub repo no problem. The pixel-based analysis flagged some layout issues I hadn't noticed. It felt pretty straightforward to get going, which was nice.

Reliable testing as always

This isn't my first time using TestDriver; I've had an annual subscription for a while now. This latest experience, setting up mobile app testing for a new project, was consistent with my previous orders. The cloud hosted testing always performs well, and the continuous integration testing just works. They keep improving the test reporting dashboard which is a big plus. It's why I keep coming back, the reliability and how it just slots into my workflow. No surprises, which is what you want with a testing platform.

Thorough testing solution

I signed up for TestDriver's free trial to evaluate its automated regression testing for our team. The onboarding process was smooth; integrating it with our GitHub CI pipeline took less than an hour. I specifically tested its visual regression monitoring on our main web application. It accurately detected several minor UI discrepancies across different browsers which manual QA had missed. The test execution logs were detailed and helped in debugging. We're considering the annual plan for the discount as it seems more robust than some alternatives we've tried like Cypress for visual regressions. The support documentation was also quite helpful when setting up custom environments.

Does TestDriver have a free tier that's actually useful, or is it super limited and forces you to upgrade right away?

A Anthony F. 2 weeks ago
It's pretty generous actually. I've been using the free tier for a while for a smaller project and it covers a lot.

B Brittany Parker 2 weeks ago
They have a free tier for open source projects too, which is neat. You can do a fair bit with it before needing to pay.

thinking of buying an annual plan. is there usually a discount for paying upfront for the whole year?

D Daniel Ramirez 3 weeks ago
Yep, almost always. I think it's like 20% off compared to monthly.

C Chris 3 weeks ago
Definitely. I signed up for the annual plan last Black Friday and saved a good chunk. They usually advertise it right on the pricing page.

What's the deal with promo codes? Do they even have them, or is it mostly just the free trial stuff?

K Kyle Torres 1 month ago
They do sometimes. I got one once from a startup accelerator event. You put it in at checkout.

D David Johnson 1 month ago
Yeah, not super common, but they pop up for special campaigns. Mostly it's about the free tier and annual savings though.

Does TestDriver charge per test run, or is it more like a subscription for X amount of usage?

A Amanda White 3 weeks ago
It's not strictly per run. More like usage-based credits within your plan tier. You get a certain amount of 'stuff' you can do.

J Jennifer Adams 3 weeks ago
From what I understand, it's more about the overall usage and features tied to your plan. Running tests costs 'credits' or whatever they call it, but it's not a direct charge for every single execution.

I saw some mention of a student discount. Is that a real thing, and how do you get it?

J Jacob Allen 1 week ago
Yeah, they have a student dev pack thing. I think you usually go through GitHub's student program or similar.

I got mine through a special link from my university's dev club. Keep an eye out or check their site for details.

Hey, thinking about trying TestDriver for my side project. Is it cool if I use it with private GitHub repos? Don't want to expose my code.

K Karen Flores 1 month ago
Yeah, totally fine. I use it with private repos all the time, no issues.

O Olivia Campbell 1 month ago
They mention it in their FAQs, you can definitely use it for private stuff. It's built for that.

Anyone know how TestDriver stacks up against something like Mabl or Applitools for visual regression? Trying to decide which one to go with.

M Michelle S. 1 month ago
I switched from Applitools. TestDriver's AI is pretty good at picking up subtle changes without tons of false positives. Felt more intuitive.

E Ella Turner 1 month ago
Mabl is good but TestDriver's GitHub integration and automatic test writing really streamlined things for my team. Less manual setup.
